Oralia Castillo

Oralia Hernandez Castillo, age 73 of Seguin, Texas, went to meet her Lord on Sunday, June 5, 2022.  She was born in Cuero, Texas to Mr. Francisco Hernandez and Mrs. Isabel Cardenas Hernandez on March 31, 1949.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Robles; parents, Francisco and Isabel Hernandez, and brothers Santiago, Frank and Eddie Hernandez.

Survivors include her husband, Jose P. Castillo; daughter, Joanna Castillo; grandchildren, Bianca Sanchez and Joseph Robles and beloved godson Angel Salazar.

Oralia worked for Motorola for 27 years before she retired.  She was a feisty, sassy and very funny lady.  She loved joking around with everyone and making them laugh. She also enjoyed bowling and earned herself many trophies and awards. She loved getting her hair done and was always ready to go shopping at her favorite stores, Bealls and JCPenney.  She loved to cook and bake, not only for her family and friends, but for everyone.  Her favorite things to bake were peanut brittle, Texas Sheet cake, and upside-down German chocolate cake.  She also made the best chicken salad and fruit salad.  She always put everyone before herself and was always willing to give or help anyone in need.  She donated to the Children’s Hospital regularly.  She was a lover of life; she fought to the end and never gave up.

She will be missed by all who knew her.  We leave you with her famous words of “bueno, bye” knowing that she’ll always be in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Goetz Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Prayer Service beginning at 11:00 am. Services will be officiated by Deacon Nick Carrillo.
