Sharren Mikesh went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. She was born on April 19, 1951 in San Angelo, Texas to parents John W Knox and Doris Claxton.
She worked for Gibson, Motorola, ERA Real Estate, and was a bus driver for many years for the Seguin Independent School District. Sharren was a member of St. James Catholic Church, she enjoyed 10 pin and 9 pin bowling, making jewelry and making crafts, traveling to the Coast and occasionally Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father John W Knox; mother Doris Claxton; her stepfather Thomas Claxton; her brother Cecil Knox; and sisters Patsy Schell, Barbara Ferguson, and Joyce Clark. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, James R Mikesh; daughter Pamela Manchack and husband John; granddaughter Ashton Hart and husband Kyle; grandson Wyatt Manchack; brother Arlin Knox and wife Helga; sisters Shirley Collins, Wanda Schumann and husband Virgil; and by her beloved pets Ginger and Lami and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ashton Hart, Kyle Hart, Wyatt Manchack, John Manchack, Jr., Bryan Nemec, and Derek Mikes. A Public Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 23, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin. On Monday, April 24, a Rosary will take place at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Seguin, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Guadalupe County Humane Society or St. James Catholic Church.
