Peggy Zane Thompson, of Seguin, Texas passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the age of 71. She was born on December 14, 1949 to Clyde Elton Hall and Mary Elizabeth Ellet.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Elizabeth Hall; sisters, Barbara Smith and Mary Hudgins; brothers, Harold Hall and Larry Hall, and nephew, Darrel Hudgins.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tommy Thompson; sons, Quint Thompson and Gannon Thompson (Tammy); grandsons, Dustin Thompson (Kailee) and Kyle Thompson; great grandson, Luke Thompson; sisters, Jan Smith, Evelyn Cain, Patty Thompson (Dennis); brother, Howard Hall (Sharon) and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Peggy worked for Nederland ISD for many years as a school bus driver, and later she then joined her husband as a Team Truck Driver for Southwestern Motor Transport. Throughout her lifetime, Peggy enjoyed listening to her old ’45 country music records, drinking margaritas, eating seafood, and enjoying meals at Adobe Cafe. She also had a passion for animals. She loved her cats and dogs dearly, loved watching hummingbirds, and she liked to occasionally feed the raccoons from her back doorstep. Peggy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and she will be missed dearly.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Smithwick Cemetery in Marble Falls, Texas.
