Pauline Castillo

Our loving mother Pauline “Polly” Hernandez Castillo entered eternal rest on August 11th, 2020, at the age of 51.
Polly was born to Manuel Hernandez Sr. and Odelia (Fuentes) Hernandez on September 21st, 1968, in Seguin,
Texas. Polly married the love of her life Alfred “Boy” Castillo on February 22, 1988. Together they are blessed with
beautiful children, Trina Marie Montes (Rino), Jake Rene Castillo (Cristina Olvera), Manuel Ray Castillo, along
with stepchildren Christine Cooper (Johnny), and Alfred Castillo III (Danielle) from Houston. They are also blessed
with 6 grandchildren, Mason Ryan, Bryce Tyler, Emma Lynn, Olivia J’Nae, Alfred Dominic IV and Royce Paul.
Polly is preceded in death by grandmother Patrocinia “Ama”, her father Manuel Hernandez Sr. and in laws
Sophia and Alfred Castillo Sr. Polly is survived by her mother Odelia “Lela” Hernandez. Her siblings Manuel Jr.
(Julie), Carlos Sr. (Rosemary), Anna (Gino), Virginia (Jackie) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and her loyal
loving friend Smokey.
Polly leaves behind memories of her faith, strong will, vivaciousness, and the ability to befriend anyone she
came across with. She was outgoing, loving, caring, and always having a good time. You could always count on
Polly being at every dance with music or especially her favorite singer Ruben Ramos. She loved taking annual
family trips to the coast, spending time with her grandchildren at the beach, going fishing, and shopping. If anyone
knew Polly, they knew she was the life of the party, always having a good time.
Polly’s legacy will continue with her children, grandchildren, and her whole family.
The whole Castillo/Hernandez family would love to thank everyone for always keeping Polly in their prayers
throughout these difficult times.
The funeral service including recitation of the Holy Rosary will be on Monday, August 17th, 2020. Public viewing
3:00 pm-5:00 pm following Holy Rosary 5:00 pm -6:00 pm at Goetz funeral home. The Christian Holy Mass burial will begin at 10:00 am on
Tuesday, August 18th, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe church. The burial will follow in the San Geronimo
Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Nickolous Franklin, Justin Hernandez, Carlos Hernandez Jr. Ruben Castillo Jr.
Frank Morris, and Orlando Castillo. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Trina Marie Montes, Jake Rene Castillo,
Manuel Ray Castillo, and grandkids. The funeral arrangements are under Goetz Funeral Home.
