Patricia Salge

Patricia Lee Salge went to be with God on May 21, 2022, at the age of 78. She was born on April 1, 1944, to Foster and Freda (Cotton) Ireton in Akron, Ohio. She came to Texas and married the love of her life, her husband of 59 years Delmar Lee Salge. She was a stay-at-home mom with five children. She loved babies, baking, gardening, and sewing (especially pajamas for her children and barbie doll clothes for her girls). Her most favorite times were times with her family and her late twin sister Peggy in Uvalde at the river. She was a caring and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was feisty at times and gentle and loving to others. Her failing health took her from us way too soon and left a hold in our hearts that can never be filled.

She is survived by her husband Delmar Salge, her daughters Brenda Gomez and significant other Roger Whittaker, Debra (Richard) Schaefer, May Scholl and husband Mark Selling, Paula Hurley and a son Darrin Salge, her sister Jessa North of Missouri, her brother Robert (Carolyn) Ireton of Arkansas and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her brothers Moreland Fickes, Harold Ireton and Charles Ireton, sisters Darlene McCombs, Mildred Rickmon, Elsie Ireton and twin sister Peggy Dalton.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Goetz Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at San Geronimo Cemetery at 8:00 a.m.
