Michael Knowles

Michael James Knowles, 73, of Cibolo Texas, passed away on October 26, 2018 at home.

Michael was born November 4, 1944 in Independence, Kansas to MJ and Betty Jean Knowles, and lived his childhood in West Texas. He graduated high school from Schreiner Military Institute in 1963, and graduated from North Texas State University in 1967. He married Elizabeth Ann Knowles in 1966.

He was a teacher for many years and taught kindergartner, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students in Hurst, Mt. Vernon, and Mt. Calm, Texas. Michael traded many cars and collected Cabbage Patch dolls. He enjoyed playing golf and won many gold tournaments.

He is preceded in death by his father MJ Knowles, a college professor, and his mother Betty Jean, a home economics teacher. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann Knowles, and two children, Michael Kent of Corpus Christi, and daughter Brigette Ann Greene of North Carolina.
