Our Dear Sweet Mama went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Maxine was 101 years old! Maxine Zipp Kinney was born February 7, 1921 at Ft Scott Kansas to Robert and Maude Einhellig. She was well loved by all, family, and caregivers.
She is survived by her daughter; Jacquelyn Zipp and companion Chuck Duke; son, Daryl Zipp and wife Toni; daughter, Kathleen Zipp Payne and husband Eddie; daughter, Annette Zipp; grandaughter, Emily Zipp; great grandchildren, Ashtyn and Cole Zipp, and nephew Larry Barber.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husbands, Alton H. Zipp and Jack Kinney.
Maxine grew up in Denver, CO., and resided in San Antonio with her family. She met her husband Alton working for the San Antonio Light Newspaper. At the Light, she was asked to model for various local department stores for layouts. She enjoyed music, playing the organ, painting, knitting and crocheting. Her biggest enjoyment was her children.
She ultimately retired from HEB construction company. She lived her final years with her daughter in Houston, Texas.

Visitation with be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Goetz Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin, Texas.
