Margarita B. Alva passed away on May 24th, 2020 in Abilene, TX surrounded by loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Alva after 48 years of marriage; and son-in-law, Martin Loza. Margarita is survived by her children Kay Loza, Patric Alva, Deborah Warfield and her husband Darwin. Grandchildren Robert Warfield, Carlos Warfield, Christian Fick, and Margi Loza.
Margarita had a Texas-sized heart for her family. She enjoyed traveling to visit her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Margarita loved cheering for her San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys. Her favorite flower is the Yellow Rose of Texas. Her faith in our Lord was inspirational to the end of her days.
The Holy Rosary will be recited on June 1, 2020 at Goetz Funeral Home Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be on June 2, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1114 Willow St. San Antonio Tx 78208. 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209. The family asks that everyone allow the Burial to be Private and for family only.
