Manuel Loera Arias was born October 17, 1945, in Lubbock, Texas.
He was called home on July 3, 2022 and welcomed by his beloved wife Antonia Arias
He is preceded in death by his father and mother: Jose and Jesusa Arias; brothers: Eugene, Pedro, Herman, Enrique, and Willie Arias.
He is survived by his sisters: Gloria Casarez, Maria Arias-Valdez, Mary Lou Guel, Janie Arias, and Cande Cunningham; His sons and daughter in laws: Jesse and Maureen Arias, San Juan and Amy Arias; His Grandchildren (the loves of his life): Lisa Rodriguez; Morgan, Xavier, Jacob, Rhea, and Dax Arias. And his trusted companion/dog: Easton Arias.
Manuel worked for the City of Seguin and Guadalupe County as a truck driver retiring after 25 years of service. He loved watching his favorite sports team the Dallas Cowboys, listening to conjunto music, visiting with his sisters, and spending as much time with his boys and grandchildren as possible. Anyone that knew Manuel knew his grandchildren were everything to him. He was their biggest fan, always supporting them whether it was watching them play sports or attending events.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Goetz Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Stockdale, Texas.
