Maidie Ferrell

Maidie Susan Ferrell went to be with her Lord on January 12, 2018 at the age of 101. She was born on January 10, 1917 in Guadalupe County to Melvin Guy Hector and Annie Nancy (Ewald) Hector. She will be remembered as working as a clerk at Vivroux Hardware Store in Seguin, Texas until she was 75. Maidie was a longtime baptized and confirmed member of Emanuel's Lutheran Church in Seguin.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank B. Ferrell in 1946; her brothers, Archie Troy Hector, Fred James Hector, Melvin Guy Hector; and her sisters, Alma Mae Herman, Addie Annie Lehnhoff, and Zadie Ophelia Billnitzer. She is survived by her daughter, Lana Marthiljohni and husband Dennis, her grandson, Weldon Marthiljohni and wife Rita along with three great-granddaughters, Grace Elizabeth, Emma Marie, and Anne Renee Marthiljohni; nieces, Patricia Myers and husband Gene and Karen Lande; nephews, Carl Hector and Dr. Melvin Hector. She also leaves behind other loving family members, friends, and numerous caregivers.

The funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin with visitation at 1:00pm followed by the actual service at 2:00pm. Interment will be at San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin.
