Luis S. Macias, a beloved husband, father, and great grandfather, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, in Seguin, Texas. He was born in Post, Texas, on October 18, 1952, to Isaac Macias and Senobia Decullar.
Luis will always be remembered as a devoted family man who would do anything for his loved ones. His passion for sports was evident to all who knew him. A true sports fanatic, Luis could be found watching games from sunrise to sunset, immersing himself in the excitement of each match.
Luis reunites with those who went before him: his daughter, Hope Ann Macias Rangel; parents, Isaac and Senobia Macias; and brother, Isaac Macias Jr.
Luis is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gloria Villareal Macias; children, Adrian and Barbara Macias, Laurie and Chris Podorsky and Bianca Macias. He is further survived by ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; Esperanza and Eloy Leibas, Tina and Juan Tavares, Espi Gomez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Goetz Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Holy Rosary will be recited that evening at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Luis S. Macias was truly one of a kind, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
