Kimberly Voigt

March 18, 1960 — June 30, 2020

Kimberly Jo Voigt, age 60, of Marion, Texas, went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2020. She was born on March 18, 1960 to James and Judith Phelps. She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence Lee Voigt; sons, Nicholas Fiedler, Edward Fiedler and wife Jacqueline; grandchildren Hunter and Brooke Fiedler, Judy Fiedler; brothers Randy Phelps and wife Tricia, John Paul (JP) Phelps, and her twin brother Kevin Phelps; sister-in-law, Marlene Carmean and husband Paul. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her half brother Michael Disspennett.
After graduating Central High School in 1978, she married Edward Fielder on May 3, 1980, however they divorced in 1996. During the marriage, she gave birth to two boys. Nicholas Fiedler was born on September 26, 1980, and Edward Fiedler on November 15, 1982.
Kim cared for her adored former mother-in-law, Tillie, who introduced her to Clarence. After dating for a few years, the two married on September 4, 1999.
Kim enjoyed spending precious time with her children, as well as her many nephews and nieces. She volunteered to babysit the children of her family. She enjoyed working as a CNA for many years in a nursing home environment, both on the floor and as a rehab technician. Kim would spend her free time helping Clarence with their hay cutting and baling business. She even assisted Erline, her mother-in-law, with her utility trailer sales. Kim enjoyed cooking and planning large potluck gatherings for family and friends. Anytime she was invited to a gathering, she immediately offered to make her signature potato salad and always made enough to feed an army. The most noted part of Kim was that she saw the best in everyone. She was always willing to extend a helping hand, even without being asked.
Kim was diagnosed with kidney failure in December of 2018. Due to her health status she was unable to work outside of the home. However, she still managed to be there for her kids and grandkids as much as possible.
