Kathleen Boeder

Kathleen Meyer Boeder, age 88 of Seguin, passed away peacefully at home on the Farm on October 4th, 2016. Visitation will be held Friday Oct 7, 2016 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday Oct 8, 2016 10:00 a.m. at Emanuel's Lutheran Church, Seguin TX, with interment to follow at Lone Oak Cemetery, Geronimo TX.
Kathleen was born in Galle, TX to Walter and Olga Meyer on January 9th, 1928. She grew up on the Farm with her Brothers and loved raising cattle. After going to a dance at Randolph AFB with her brother Delvin, a young man approached her on a bet from his buddies that he couldn't get that pretty girl to dance with him. She not only danced with him but married Donald Boeder on February 14, 1949.
With a husband in the Air Force, she traveled and moved her family several times and made some great friends everywhere they lived that she kept in touch with until recently when she no longer could. After graduating from Droughns Business College, she began working at Nolte Bank and continued in the Banking business until they moved to Seguin. She was a member of Emanuel's Lutheran Church and looked forward to Sunday mornings and going to worship services.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years Donald Boeder, her brothers, Cleburne Meyer and Delvin Meyer, her Sister-in-laws Valeska Meyer, Viola Boeder Sheppard and Bobbi Boeder Abbe.
She is survived by her Son Kenny Boeder, daughters Sandra Cunningham (Richard), Candy Holmes and Lorrie Rangel (Willie). Grandchildren Deana Henk (Russell), Patrick Cunningham (Michelle), Tim Boeder (Erin), Monica Rogers (Jay), Katie Reed (Matt) and Kambrie Boeder. Great-Grandchildren Meagan and Emily Cunningham, Abbie and Erin Henk, Ava and Jonah Rogers, Jackson and Conner Reed, and the newest addition, Meyer Boeder. Sister-in-Law Evelyn Meyer and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Serving as Pall Bearers will be Pat Cunningham, Russell Henk, Tim Boeder, Jay Rogers, Matt Reed, Lynn Meyer and Erich Wayne Glenewinkel.
