Juana “Cuna” Magana Moreno was born February 8, 1927 in Seguin, Texas and passed away peacefully at her home on June 7, 2019 at the age of 92. Juana was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a devoted Catholic. She enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, collecting spiritual statues and was a loving homemaker. Juana enjoyed watching her western shows and loved her scratch tickets.
She survived by her grandchildren; Lisa Ramirez and her husband, Freddy, Anne Moreno, Felimon Moreno III, Peter Moreno and Chris Moreno; great grandchildren, Melissa and Alex Ramirez and Marissa, Abbigail and Brittany Moreno. Juana also has many great-great grandchildren as well as numerous other loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; Josefa and Sabino Magana; her husband, Felimon Moreno Sr; sons, Alfredo M. Moreno, Felimon Moreno Jr. and Pedro Moreno; grandchildren, Alfred Moreno Jr.,and Crystal Lynn Moreno, as well as numerous brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Juana will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Thursday June 13, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 409 W. Krezdorn in Seguin. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday June 12, 2019 at Goetz Memorial Chapel 713 N. Austin St. in Seguin. The family is very grateful to her loving niece and caregiver, Susie Villarreal, Maria V. Contreras, Juanita Martinez and daughter In-Law, Emma Moreno, and the rest of the staff at Guadalupe Regional Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to Goetz Funeral Home 713 N. Austin in Seguin.
