Joseph Rocha

Joey Rocha, 52, of Austin, passed away Monday, January 07, 2019 at his residence. Joey was born in San Antonio to Isidro Rocha Sr. and Estella Garcia Rocha. He was a 1985 graduate of Seguin High School and held a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Texas Lutheran University. Joey worked 24 years as a Network and System Administrator and was a member of the Austin Vocal Arts Ensemble. He will be remembered for his love of Tennis, The Texas Longhorns and music.

A celebration gathering of Joey's family and friends will begin at 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M., Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Goetz Memorial Chapel 713 N. Austin St. in Seguin. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 14, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 409 W Krezdorn St, Seguin, TX 78155.

Joey is survived by his mother, Estella Rocha, of Seguin; sisters, Susie Ibarra and her husband, John; Blanche Morales and her husband, Alonzo; Kathy Rocha and her husband, Dale Price; and Margo Rocha; brother, Isidro Rocha Jr. all of Seguin; his best friend, David Zwernemann, of Austin; Nieces and nephew, Stephanie (Jason), Easy (Savannah), Leah, Estella (Michael), Blanca and Jennifer; great nieces and nephews, Albert, Serena, Michael "Romo", E.R., Sara and Isaac Joe. He will be especially missed by his faithful feline companions, Spider and Simon. Joey was preceded in death by his father, Isidro Rocha Sr.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home.
