Jose Rocha

Jose De La Cruz Rocha passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born February 28, 1942 in Seguin, Texas, to the late Jose & Jesusa Rocha. He married Elizabeth Flores on December 30, 1964 in Lubbock and worked for Woodburn ISD in Woodburn, OR as Head Custodian for over 27 years. After retiring in 1998, He became an Entrepreneur in the Entertainment Industry.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Isidro Rocha; four sisters, Elvira Trinidad, Isabel Camarillo, Refugia Rocha, Rosita Rocha

Jose is survived by three sons, Jose Rocha III, Emilio Rocha & wife Kelly, Isidro Rocha all of Lubbock; three daughters, Erica Rocha & Bobby Newton, Nadia Rocha & Ray Rodriguez, Jessica Rocha & Natividad Rodriguez all of Lubbock; four sisters, Margarite Montoya, Gloria Gomez both of Lubbock, Louisa Rangel of Roscoe, Maria Hernandez of Dallas; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild.

He enjoyed watching many sports like football, baseball & golf but was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees. Above all; He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren having big cookouts any chance they could.

Visitation will be at Goetz Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial following at San Geronimo Cemetery.
