Janie Robles

Wife, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Janie G. Robles was called home to be with our Lord on September 26, 2016 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her husband, Uvaldo E. Robles of 56 years of marriage. She is survived by her children, Judy (Valdo Jr.) De La Garza, Karen (Gabriel) Cabello; Kathy Robles, Shirley "Shiryl" (Steve) Ybarra; grandchildren, Valdo III (Melissa) De La Garza of Houston , Ryan De La Garza of Dallas and Myra Ybarra; great-grandchildren, Augie, Mac, Sabrina and Derrick; sister, Anita Flores and other numerous relatives and friends; Pallbearers are, Valdo Jr., Gabriel, Steve, Valdo, III, Ryan and Derrick. Along with having been a wife, best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Janie spent her life being a seamstress and later in life she worked as a lunch room monitor to be near her grandson Ryan. As he would call her grandma, all the other children soon started calling her "Grandma." The family feels a tremendous loss in their lives, but they know that she is in Heaven, where they hope to be reunited with her someday. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 5:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Goetz Funeral Home. A funeral procession will depart on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 9:30 am for a 10:00 am Mass at St. James Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Arrangements are entrusted to Goetz Funeral Home.
