Glenn Short

Glenn Owen Short, 79, of Seguin, died Thursday May 9, 2019 at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin. He was born August 6, 1939 in Stowe, Pennsylvania to Elizabeth (Fizz) and Edward Short. Glenn was an aircraft mechanic and retired United States Air Force Veteran, serving two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was one of the first members, and helped establish, the veteran's ministry. He enjoyed traveling in his RV, visiting relatives and flying. He will be remembered for his kind, generous, optimistic and loving spirit. He will be missed greatly.

Glenn is survived by his daughters; Marybeth Dionne and her husband, Lawrence, of Smithfield, Rhode Island, Susan Lawrence and her husband, Gilbert, of Bullhead City, Arizona and Nancy Lanyon of Hyde Park, Illinois; son, Michael Glenn Short and his wife, Barbara, of New Braunfels; 11 granddaughters, 1 grandson and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Hope Short and his parents.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church 510 S. Camp St. Seguin, Texas 78155. Memorial contributions in Glenn's memory may be directed to The Veterans Ministry at St. James 510 S.
