Gaylen Forrest Koch, 61, was wrapped in the Lord's embrace and carried home on Monday, October 3rd 2016 while surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Born in Corvallis, Oregon to Paul and Fay Koch on July 5th 1955. In the early 70's Gaylen proudly served his country as a soldier in the United States Army. After his service, he went to community college and found a career in the sheet metal trade. Gaylen was married to the love of his life, Kathy Koch, for 42 years and was blessed with a wonderful daughter, Aarin Thibodeaux. His life was a symbol of love, kindness, and compassion. He spent his time loving life to the fullest with his family, friends, and cherished dog (The Woo Woo), making unforgettable memories and irresistible barbeque. He was loved dearly by those who knew him and he returned that love with all his heart. He will be forever in our memories and missed by many.
Gaylen leaves behind a large loving family spread out from Oregon to Texas as well as numerous friends that he considered family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 29th 2016 at 10:00 am at Community Christian Church in New Braunfels, TX. with Pastor Al Houk officiating. Interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10:30am
