Frederick “Dwayne” Tumlinson, a beloved husband and father passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 in Marion, Texas, at the age of 59. He was born on February 7, 1965, in San Antonio, Texas, to Dexter Wayne Tumlinson and Christine Diane Day.
Dwayne joins his late grandparents, Walter Day and Christine Day, and his father, Wayne Tumlinson in eternal rest.
Dwayne is survived by his devoted wife, Trish Tumlinson, and his beloved sons, Jordan Tumlinson, Patrick Tumlinson, Tyler Tumlinson, John Roberts, and Charlie Roberts; mother, Diane Day Mori, along with his brother, Michael Shane Tumlinson (Jennifer Tumlinson). He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Taylor Tumlinson, Travis Tumlinson and Devon Tumlinson, along with numerous cousins, an aunt, uncle, and a vast circle of many good friends.
Remembered for his infectious laughter and large heart, Dwayne was truly a brother to all. He possessed a protective nature towards his family, always ready to lend a helping hand or an understanding ear. His loving character made it evident to all who crossed his path that they were cherished.
A die-hard fan of the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Texans, Dwayne celebrated the joys of sports with the same passion he had for life. His love of karaoke and dancing brought smiles not only to his own face but also to those around him. He was known for his quirkiness and had a special talent for lighting up a room with his vibrant and funny personality. Animals also held a special place in Dwayne’s heart. Many furry companions brought immense happiness to Dwayne throughout his life.
Serving as Pallbearers are Ricci Van Bibber, Paul Hernandez, John Nelson, Justin Day, Lance Palasky, and Danny Barganier.
Services honoring Dwayne will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin, Texas, starting with Visitation at 12:30 PM, followed by a funeral service officiated by Jack Day at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
In celebrating the life of Frederick Dwayne Tumlinson, we honor a man who gave with all his heart, who was loving and giving. Though he may have left this world, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who loved and knew him.
