Carolyn Wilson Baer passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 80. Carolyn, also known as, "Pud'n," was born in Elgin, Texas on February 8, 1938. She grew up in Austin, Texas, which she always thought of as Home. Carolyn graduated from Travis High School and the University of Texas, where she earned a degree in Fashion Merchandising.
Carolyn married Charles E. "Charlie" Baer, Jr. and together they have two children, Trey Baer and Molly Baer Holub.
Carolyn moved with her family to Galveston, Texas in 1979, where she worked as an administrator at Trinity Episcopal School for 18 years. In 1997, Carolyn and Charlie retired to a home they built in the Texas Hill County, where she lived out her life as a ferocious fan of Texas Longhorn football, a volunteer at the Museum of Texas Handmade Furniture and an amazing wife, mom and grandmother.
She is predeceased by her parents: Frances Ford Wilson and Dennis Dean Wilson, and brother: Curtis Dean Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years: Charlie "Boo" Baer of Spring Branch; children: Trey Baer of Huntsville and Molly Holub and husband Karl of Houston, grandchildren: Zan Baer, Zachary Baer, Zoey Baer, Chanse Holub, Caroline Holub and Charlie Holub; sister: Jonnye Wilson Dickard and husband Paul of Colorado Springs, niece: Denise Wilson Oliver (Jeff), nephews: David Dickard (Marja) and Brian Dickard (Trivian), along with grand-nieces and nephews and many cousins.
A Graveside Service, for the family, will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the San Geronimo Cemetery, with a Memorial Service and reception to follow at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (201 E. Nolte St., Seguin, TX 78155) at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Museum of Texas Handmade Furniture (1370 Churchill Dr., New Braunfels, TX 78130).
