Bennie Engelke

March 1, 1939 — June 3, 2018

Bennie Floyd Engelke, aka, "PaPa" and "Mr. Super Nice Guy," left this beloved land of Seguin on Sunday, June 3, 2018 and will be greatly missed by so many. He was born in Seguin, Texas on March 1, 1939 to Mary (Harborth) and Oscar Engelke.

He is preceded in death by: Pretty Momma and Daddy, brother, Boyce Engelke and sister and brother in law, Violet and Tillman Greene.

Survivors include his wife Linda, children: Crystal, Candace, Tigger; grand kids: Leah, Kinzey (MAC), Hunter Wade, Logan (Big Bear) CJ, Lane (little bear); great grandkids: Addy, official time keeper of Sullivan Switch: Cash, sister- Virgie Murphy, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was a man of many phrases, IMAGINE THAT but as much as we would love to have him here with us, I'm sure he's busy "WORKING LIKE 3 RENTED ROAD MULES" while telling someone "IVE PUT IN 300 HOURS THIS WEEK.

PaPa certainly worked hard but always found someone that was "HARDLY WORKING". You could catch him up early in the morning headed out to the hay pasture or at the coffee shop taking "A SHORT BREAK" and always teasing the ladies with "EAT YA HEART OUT" or let's not forget "LOOK HOW GOOD I LOOK". When he leaves the cafe he will be headed out to "STARTING MY 3rd SHIFT". When the sun went down you can bet he'd be "PERFORMING MOUTH TO MOUTH RESUSCITATION TO THIS BUDLIGHT" and demanding for one of his buds to "BE SOMEBODY AND BUY A ROUND". When the evening is done and he's headed home, he'll walk in the house and say "HELLO DARLING" then proceed to work on the little ones with "CAN YOU SAY HORSE SHIT YET". I'm sure during dinner at some time he might mention that one of us are "HARD HEADED LIKE ER MOMMA."

We can't forget all the days checking cows and making sure his hands were doing what they needed to, if not they were "USELESS AS TITS ON A BOAR HOG" and when all was right and making along as it should it might have been referred to as "KICKING IN THE CLUTCH ANS LETTING OUT THE SLACK" no matter how the work day began or ended PaPa was and always will be "HNIC" and at "SOLID LABOR" nonstop.

We love you PaPa and you can rest easy cause I will for sure "SEE LIFE THROUGH YOUR EYES" and I'll be sure to "MAKE THAT LIGHT OFF" for you one last time. He will be missed by many loved ones friends and families. He lived his life by his motto: DONT WORRY BOUT THE MULE BEING BLIND, JUST KEEP LOADING THE DAMN WAGON.
