Ann R. Austin

Ann R. Austin, 83, passed away July 17, 2023, after battling a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob McCoy; her parents; seven siblings; and several beloved pets. Ann is survived by a sister, Peggye Richardson of Austin, Texas, and two brothers, Jerry Richardson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Kenneth Richardson of Slaytonville, Arkansas.

Ann was born in Arkansas in 1940. She attended grade school in Midland and then attended high school at Hartford High School. After graduating from high school in 1957, she moved to Memphis for her first job at New York Life. In the early ‘60s, she joined Delta Airlines, where she traveled the globe as a flight attendant for over 40 years. After retiring from Delta, Ann bought a farm and moved to the country, where she enjoyed a more sedate side of life with her late husband, Bob. Although Ann did not have any children, she was a powerful influence for a beloved niece and goddaughter, Michelle Gonzales, and Annette Tang, respectively. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

A Memorial in Ann’s honor will be held October 28, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin, Texas. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society.
