Anita Merle Berger passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the age of 94, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to Walter Elijah Boothe and Anna Mae Boothe on July 9, 1930.
Anita Merle Berger was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mom, aunt and grandma. Anita will always be thought of as a faithful servant of the Lord. Anita was excellent at everything she did. She was raised on a farm in Mead, Oklahoma. She married and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and had 2 children by RB Krause. She remarried to Charles A. Berger and moved to San Antonio Texas, then moved to Seguin, Tx. Anita lived a creative life and was very intelligent. She played piano and had a beautiful voice. She went to college, then completed her Master’s at Southwest Texas State University, summa cum laude, in 1966 at the age of 56. She worked as a secretary in the government before retiring. She faithfully taught Sunday school and went to the Church of Christ. She also was the secretary of the church for many years. She loved to travel and traveled around the world. She loved to share her experiences with her family and friends. Lou Ann Skinner, Betty Flickenger, her sister, Bobbie Lewis, and more.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Elijah Boothe and Anna Mae Boothe, sisters, Dorthy Tegmeyer, Opal Bosco, Bobbie Lewis, brother, Jim Boothe, son Ronald Ray Krause, son in law David Alan Stine, and her beloved husband, Charles A. Berger.
Left to cherish and honor her memory is her daughter Karen Ann Stine, daughter in law, Nell Krause, grandchildren, Serena Stine, Billy Stine, Brian Stine, Kerrigan, and numerous nieces, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held at Goetz Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Funeral services will start at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin, Texas on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. and services will conclude at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
