Amanda Bading

Amanda Kathleen Bading passed from this life on September 19, 2017 at the age of 97. She was born May 9, 1920 to Clint and Della Hutto Yeary on the family farm/ranch in Burnet County, Texas. Kathleen grew up on the family "place" along with three older brothers. She graduated from Burnet High School and Southwest Texas State Teacher's College, San Marcos, Texas. Kathleen taught elementary school 22 years, 17 of which were in Seguin, Texas. She was married December 20, 1941, in Seguin to Clifton H. Bading, with whom she enjoyed 69 years of marriage. Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and husband. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Dr. James and Karen Bading of South Pasadena, California; Michael and Janis Bading of Rosanky, Texas; grandchildren, Brady, Clint and wife Brittany, and Anne Bading; great-granddaughters, Sophie Bading-Moore and Blair Emma Bading. Kathleen will lie in state Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Goetz Funeral Home. A Burial will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10:30 am at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park followed by an 11:30 am Memorial Service at First Baptist Church in Seguin. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Goetz Funeral Home.
