Alwin Schaefer

Alwin Fritz Schaefer peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday November 15, 2021 at the age of 93.

Alwin is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Irene Anna Marckwardt, and parents Alwin A. and Viola Schaefer, brothers; Howard and Louis, and sister Thelida (Moeller).

He is survived by his daughter, Dawn and sons, Kevin and Kenneth (Ann) Schaefer; grandchildren, James (Kathy) and Jennifer Schaefer, nine great grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.

We would like to thank Ron Olson and the other members and friends of St. John’s Lutheran Church for their service in Christ; Nurse Kara and the staff at Three Oaks Hospice; Priscilla and the other nurses of Home Care Dimensions, and especially “our sweet Leslie” for their care.

Visitation will be held on Thursday November 18, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home. Private Graveside Services will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Three Oaks Hospice.
