On Monday April 29, 2024, Alvin Lee King, loving father, grandpa, great-grandpa, husband and friend to everyone he met passed away unexpectedly at the age of 71. Alvin was born to Olen Christine Dorman and Warren King on November 22, 1952 in Beaumont, TX. He had many jobs in his life and at the end of his career, he worked in a bakery. He had two children with his first wife, Sandy. He gained two more children in life when he met Beverly and they shared 40 years together. He was known for his friendliness to anyone, even if they didnt respond. His love of fishing, family time, eating, taking his RV anywhere he could to camp, and always asking for a senior discount everywhere. Alvin was preceded in death by his mother, father, his only sister, and brother, Richard. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Patterson-King, son, Shane King (Courtney), daughter, Amber Harris (Jesse), step children, Kelly Hamaker (Tiffany), Jenifer Hamaker, brothers, Sidney King, Donald King, David King, cousins, nieces, nephews, grand children and great grand children.
A viewing will be held at Goetz Funeral Home, 713 N. Austin St., Seguin, TX from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024 and the Service with Military Honors will be held Monday, May 6, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. Flowers can be sent to the funeral home, donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans at the link below. Services will be livestreamed for anyone who cannot attend in person.
